Mission Hills has its own business district.  Most of the local businesses are located along West Washington Street from Hillcrest to the east.  The business hub of Mission Hills is along Goldfinch Street between Fort Stockton and W. Founded in 1912, Francis Parker School is San Diego's oldest and largest independent, non-denominational, co-educational day school. The Lower School campus is located in Mission Hills and serves students from Junior Kindergarten through the 5th grade.
