Eastlake in Chula Vista, CA

For the last 12 years running, the San Diego Union-Tribune newspaper’s annual reader’s poll has named the master-planned development of Eastlake as the area’s Best New Home Community in all of San Diego County.  Eastlake houses for sale are some of the most sought after houses in the county.  Today, the development is comprised of 3,200 acres and more than 1,100 acres of parks, athletic fields, a golf course, hiking trails, school, recereational centers and a 21.5-acre lake.

Residential areas include Eastlake Hills (91913), Shores (91913 - new home sales began in 1986 and the last of the 1,823 units sold in 1990), Eastlake Greens (91915 - opened in 1991 with final sales in January, 2000), and Eastlake Trails (91915 - opened late fall 1999 with final sales in early 2002).  The Vistas, Woods and Eastlake Trails North began sales in Summer 2002 and continue to build to this day.

Currently, the average single family house for sale in Eastlake with about 2,500 sq. ft. sells for about $500,000.  The average condo/town home sells for about $225,000.  The homes in the "Gates" (private custom gated homes) range in price from $1,000,000 to over $5,000,000.

Approximately 3,200 acres have been designed to include 180 acres of industrial land, more than 70 acres of Commercial/office/retail uses and more than 1,100 acres of parks, recreation and open space.  At build-out this one of a kind community plans to approximately 9,600 dwelling units and an estimated population of about 28,000.
